How Often Should You Rotate Your Tires?

Mar 7, 2022

Everyone wants to get the best bang for their buck when it comes to their vehicle. We are always looking for new and improved ways to make sure our cars last longer and drive better! When it comes to safety, tires are one of the most important components of your car. Make sure your tires are always in top shape by following this guideline on tire rotation!

The Importance of Rotating Your Tires

Tires may seem like one of the more boring components of your vehicle, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. They are your car’s one and only direct contact with the road. One of the simplest ways to ensure that your car will take care of you is by taking care of it, which includes having your tires rotated periodically! Your tires are working hard no matter the weather or terrain.

When You Should Rotate Your Tires

Rotating your tires evens out the heavy wear of the road. Is your car front, rear, or all-wheel-drive? That plays a huge factor in how often you should rotate your tires. Uneven road patterns, speed bumps, and changes in terrain are just a few of the many causes of wear in tires.

How To Rotate Your Tires

  • Front-Wheel Drive- Move the front tires to the back. Move the back tires to the front and place them on opposite sides of the vehicle from where they were originally in the back.
  • Read-Wheel Drive- Move the back tires to the front. Move the front tires to the back and place them on opposite sides of the vehicle from where they were originally in the front.
  • All-Wheel Drive- Move all four tires in a crisscross pattern. Make sure that each tire has been moved from its place in either the front or the back, and from its place on either the left or right side of the vehicle.
